There are a few things you should know about our catalog. We are offering about 200 titles initially. These will be increased or decreased in number depending on sales and your feedback. Don't be afraid to scroll down the pages or use the handy directory links at the top of each page. If a book you want is not available, please let us know.
In order for us to be able to compete against the major corporations, we've found that we have to offer discounts across the board. Unlike some other booksellers who discount some best sellers by 32% and sell all other titles at full price, we are offering 15% discounts across the board, with a few exceptions. Some publishers do not discount to booksellers or they offer very low discounts. We can't lower our prices below what we have to pay these wholesalers.
You will find our discounted prices in red below or beside the full retail price. In a few cases, they are in blue but listed right after the full retail price.
Just So You Know:
Each time you add a book to your shopping cart, you will need to "back-arrow" to get back to the catalog pages. We apologize for this inconvenience; however, we feel the trade-off may be well worth it. Our fulfillment is being handled by the largest book distributor in the world, Baker and Taylor. In addition to its books, it also stocks musical CDs and Movie DVDs for a total of over 2,000,000 titles. They are actually one of the distributors supplying Amazon.com because their inventory is larger than Amazon's. The cool feature is that once you have made all the selections from our 200 recommendations, you will have the ability to order anything you want from Baker & Taylor's huge inventory as well. We have placed a link to our home page on the top of each of our pages on their site for your convenience, or you can just back arrow to get back to our catalog. You will not see:
Commonly found excellent books such as Harry Potter, or such titles as Holes or Gary Paulson's, The Other Side of the Mountain. We have assumed most people are familiar with these and have them already. If you would like for us to carry them, please let us know.
For this initial issue, we have included a handful of books in the Spanish language. If you would like us to carry more Spanish language books or books in both English and Spanish, please let us know.
